On Wednesday, Manhattan was engulfed in what almost felt like a monsoon. Not that the rain stopped showgoers from flooding the front rows on day one of New York Fashion Week. The light at the end of the tunnel, so to speak, came by Hotel Brooklyn Bridge where the Bulgari Goldea, the Roman Night fragrance launch was being thrown by Bella Hadid.
The hostess braved the dark and gloomy downpour in a bright white cocktail dress by Dolce & Gabbana. “I thought it was going to be, like, a cute summer night!” she said, rationalizing her chosen attire for the evening. “I wanted to stack up my bracelets, and this was super simple.”
Underneath all those Bulgari rose gold bangles was a wristband scented with the new fragrance.
“It’s such a sexy scent,” Hadid continued. “I would probably wear it on a date – if I went on dates.”
Admiring the city skyline through sips of Champagne, guests stopped to smell the roses that sprouted up in celebratory bouquets as a decorative hint at the fragrance’s subtle floral notes. Like the rain, the party lasted into the wee hours. Before being sent off into the night, everyone was handed a Bulgari gift bag with the new perfume bottle.
